The recently renovated Little Red School House has a one-bedroom suite with a living room. The bedroom features a comfortable bed, and the bathroom has good shower pressure. The suite includes air-conditioning, a kitchenette, a washing machine, free WiFi, and a private bathroom. A sun terrace and garden are accessible from the suite.
Breakfast and Barbecue
Breakfast provisions are supplied: fresh bread, eggs, milk, apple juice, cereals, and a selection of teas and coffee. Guests prepare their own breakfast. For dinner, there is a gas barbecue. There are no restaurants within miles, so groceries are bought in Oamaru (48 km away). Wine, champagne, and snack bar items are available.
Leisure
On-site activities include hiking the farm track, walking tours, archery, billiards, darts, and table tennis. The deck features sunken outdoor baths. Guests can feed farm animals: chickens, sheep, a goat, and horses. Board games and puzzles are provided.
Location
The farm is 48 km from Oamaru and 100 km from Richard Pearse Airport. It sits on a ridge with views over the surrounding hills. The area is remote and quiet, with no shops or restaurants nearby. Free parking, including accessible spaces, is available.
Services
The host greets guests and offers a tour of the farm and animals. Check-in and check-out are private. Daily housekeeping, luggage storage, free WiFi, and free parking are included. Pets are allowed. An invoice is provided.
“I found the setting here to be quite dreamlike, a genuinely peaceful escape where the comfortable beds and the outdoor baths under the stars were truly standout moments. It's a place where the thoughtful details, like the included breakfast and the friendly farm animals, felt like a warm invitation. This spot really allows you to disconnect and recharge amidst beautiful scenery.”
